Guest Advocate (Cashier or Front of Store Attendant/Cart Attendant) (T1312)

Starting Hourly Rate / Salario por Hora Inicial: $16.50 USD per hour

• Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you are completing your daily tasks
• Engage with guests to help solve their specific needs when they need assistance
• Make the guest aware of current promos, store activities and events
• Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the total store, and specific to your area, to solve issues for the guest and improve their experience
• Thank guests and convey appreciation for their visit
• Know and speak to the benefits of Target Loyalty programs and assist with application or sign-up as needed
• Scan and bag items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with food safety standards and company best practices
• Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service quality and accuracy
• Understand and demonstrate how to use features within the Target App including Wallet
• Be familiar with Order Pick-Up, Drive Up and online ordering, and direct guests to enroll, activate and use these features
• Handle returns following store policies; escalate to leaders as needed to resolve guest issues
• Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area and manage inventory like baskets and hangers
• Stock supplies during store hours and remain available for guests
• Commit to safety, ethical conduct, and compliance; report hazards and correct where possible
• Support guest services such as order pickup, drive-up orders, and related duties with compliance to applicable laws (e.g., adult beverage laws where applicable)
• All other duties based on business needs

• You are open to a flexible schedule with varying hours, days or shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays and other peak times)

• Attention to detail while prioritizing tasks
• Ability to educate guests about products and services and engage around them
• Ability to operate handheld scanners and other technology; work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to stay focused in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks within established time frames
• Capable of handling checkout operations and supporting cash office operations as needed
• Ability to lift and move merchandise, up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 44 pounds occasionally, with or without assistance
• Flexible work schedule (nights, weekends, holidays); reliable and prompt attendance
• Ability to stay mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift
• Comfortable working in varying temperatures and conditions depending on duties
