• Follow all health, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Perform cleanup duties.
• Perform material handling and storage duties.
• Identify, use, and care for common hand and power tools.
• Use and care of craft specific tools and equipment.
• Apply craft related mathematics as required by tasks.
• Know and apply safety standards and best safety practices relevant to rigging; inspect rigging equipment and hardware.
• Know and apply common hitches, emergency stop signals, basic crane hand signals, knot tying (bowline and clove hitch); use rigging equipment relevant to craft tasks.
• Ensure all certification and training are in accordance with requirements.
• Assist in repairs and maintenance according to diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer specifications for machinery and equipment (engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyors, production machines) using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring/testing instruments.
• Observe mechanical devices in operation to locate causes of trouble; dismantle devices to access and remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools.
• Examine form and texture of parts to detect imperfections; inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements using measuring instruments (rules, calipers, micrometers, etc.).
• Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straight edges.
• May assist with set up and operation of lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
• Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools and power tools; install special functional and structural parts in devices using hand tools.
• Start devices to test performance; lubricate and clean parts.
• Perform repairs and maintenance in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer specifications for machinery and equipment.
• May set up and operate lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
• May initiate purchase orders for parts and machines.
• Change reverse osmosis membranes; repair leaks; replace pump seals.
• Perform LOTO activities as needed.

Reach above shoulders and away from body to perform work tasks;
Demonstrate manual dexterity to perform work tasks

Working Conditions :
Work in extreme heat or cold;
Work where noise level is above 85 decibels;
Work in wet/humid environment;
Work in cramped quarters;
Work in environment of fluctuating ventilation;
Work inside and outside.
