Powered Systems Mechanic Security Clearance

Position: POWERED SUPPORT SYSTEMS MECHANIC with Security Clearance
Duties The primary purpose of this position is: to serve as an Air Reserve Technician (ART) that installs, inspects, troubleshoots, tests, repairs, modifies, overhauls, services, and dispatches powered and non-powered aerospace ground support equipment and to train reservists in the accomplishment of tasks set forth herein. Duties: 1:
Inspects, troubleshoots, calibrates, installs, tests, repairs, removes, aligns, modifies, overhauls and performs major maintenance on complex powered and non-powered aerospace ground support systems and integrated sub-systems to include Nuclear Certified Equipment (NCE). 2:
Performs periodic/scheduled, service, special inspections, TCTO's, OTI's and preventive maintenance on complex powered and non-powered aerospace ground support systems and integrated sub-systems to include Nuclear Certified Equipment (NCE). 3:
Installs, maintains, troubleshoots, aligns, calibrates, and performs functional and final testing of integrated electronic systems, components, or subassemblies. Sets up and operates software controlled automated test equipment to run established programs in various test modes to test/troubleshoot integrated systems and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC). 4:
Reviews, verifies and documents equipment/component forms/tags and Maintenance Information Systems (MIS) to reflect maintenance actions performed for on and off equipment to include initiating Nuclear Certified Equipment (NCE) reports, i.e .; DULL SWORD Actions. 5:
Complies with safety standards in accordance with State and Federal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), AF Environmental Compliance Assessment Management Program (ECAMP) and Occupational Safety Health Administration (OSHA), environmental protection practices and procedures, directives, technical orders (TO) and policies. 6:
Performs production control functions. Maintains and controls tools, consolidated tool kits (CTK) s, and individually issued equipment. Verifies tools are serviceable, properly marked, calibrated, inventoried and secured at all times. 7:
Certifies and enforces the standard of work produced utilizing the USAF Technical Order Program, AFIs and commercial manuals. Prepares effective training plans to maximize Reserve, Active Duty, and Civilian training. Dispatch and recover aerospace ground support equipment. Requirements Conditions of employment

QUALIFICATIONS:

Applicants will be rated in accordance with the OPM Qualification Standard Handbook X-118C for the WG-5300 Industrial Equipment Maintenance Family. Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most blue-collar positions, you must meet any screen-out element listed, and show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying.

Qualification requirements emphasis is on the quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. The screen out element for this position is the ability to do the work of a Powered Support Systems Mechanic without more than normal supervision. JOB ELEMENTS:
