Our regional Legal client based in Dover, NH is seeking an experienced Legal Biller to join their growing team. This position will actively collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and other team members to ensure accurate and timely billing workflows. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and has previous experience in legal or professional services billing.
Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- 3+ years of Billing or Accounting experience required
- 1+ year Billing experience in a Law Firm or related industry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- SharePoint LMS experience highly considered
- Proven experience in a fast paced, high volume environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Customer-centric mindset and ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and communicate new client matters in a timely and accurate manner.
- Review and process pre-bills, ensuring accuracy and completeness of supporting documentation.
- Record and post incoming payments daily (credit card, check, cash).
- Maintain and update client billing records, including applying and transferring payments.
- Generate bills and e-bills in accordance with client and firm requirements.
- Collaborate with legal staff to manage collections of past due balances.
- Prepare and compile financial and billing reports.
