A highly reputable OEM/service organization is seeking a Field Service Technician / Field Service Engineer to support customers across New England. This role focuses on installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance of industrial manufacturing equipment. You will work independently in the field while being backed by a strong technical support team.

75% of this role requires travel throughout the United States

Job Details

Key Responsibilities

Install, commission, and start up industrial equipment at customer sites
Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
Diagnose issues using schematics, prints, and technical manuals
Perform preventative maintenance and corrective repairs
Support customers with technical guidance and best practices
Document service calls, findings, and repair actions
Communicate with internal engineering/technical teams for escalated issues
Provide a high level of customer service and professionalism onsite

Required Qualifications

3+ years of hands-on field service, maintenance, or industrial equipment experience
Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills (motors, bearings, alignment, rotating equipment, etc.)
Electrical troubleshooting experience (control panels, sensors, drives, etc.)
Able to read wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and schematics
Comfortable traveling extensively and working independently
Valid driver’s license
