Facilities Construction and HVAC Engineer

Howmet Aerospace, a leading global provider of advanced engineered solutions for the aerospace and transportation industries, is currently seeking a Facilities Construction and HVAC Engineer. This role focuses on managing new construction, HVAC projects, and facility maintenance at our New Jersey facility.

$95,000 - $125,000 per year, based on experience, education, and certifications.

• Responsible for service, installation, and troubleshooting of HVAC equipment.
• Manage construction projects in the NJ facility.
• Provide technical support for manufacturing and maintenance.
• Maintain and upgrade the facility through general maintenance and new construction.
• Manage service contracts for heating and cooling equipment and general building requirements.

• Assist in implementing Howmet’s EHS values and policies.
• Comply with all relevant regulations.
• Wear required personal protective equipment.
• Report workplace injuries and health concerns.
• Attend all EH&S training.

• Develop and manage on-site construction and HVAC projects.
• Handle monthly, quarterly, and yearly service contracts.
• Maintain and repair dust collectors, cooling towers, boilers, HVAC equipment, chillers, and loading docks.
• Manage maintenance, service, inspections, and inventory for boilers and HVAC equipment.
• Coordinate CAPEX projects related to facility infrastructure.
• Track purchase orders, invoices, and capital budgets.
• Make recommendations for equipment improvements and preventative maintenance.

• ITAR U.S. person status (U.S. citizen or permanent resident). Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Associated degree in construction management, construction engineering, or related field.
• Heating and cooling certification/degree/training.
• 5 to 7 years of experience in construction projects and HVAC operations.

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, construction engineering, or related field.
• Basic knowledge of electrical control systems and mechanical drawings/CAD.
• Strong interpersonal skills for supervisory responsibilities.
