Defense Acquisition Support Services (DAS) is seeking a Federal Procurement IP Analyst with strong expertise in Intellectual Property (IP), Government Data Rights, DFARS clauses, and federal acquisition processes to support our customer s role advises government teams on IP implications, contract modifications, technical data rights, and key considerations throughout the procurement life cycle.
Key Responsibilities- Provide acquisition and contracting support across the full procurement life cycle.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on Intellectual Property, technical data rights, DFARS data rights clauses, and software licensing.
- Analyze contractor IP/assertions and advise on implications to cost, schedule, and acquisition strategy.
- Support Program Managers and Contracting Officers on procurement policy, IP requirements, and interpretation of FAR/DFARS requirements.
- Review and support contract modifications, change conditions, and scope impacts.
- Prepare and refine acquisition documents including SOW/PWS, IGCEs, Acquisition Strategies, RFI/RFP packages, J&As.
- Conduct market research and support source selection evaluation.
- Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, DoD 5000 series, and applicable procurement regulations.
- Work closely with legal advisors, engineers, and contracting personnel to evaluate and mitigate IP-related risks.
- Assist with technical data deliverables, licensing considerations, and documentation management.
- Track milestones and acquisition status for government reporting.
- Active Secret Clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience supporting DoD acquisition or contracting activities.
- Strong understanding of FAR/DFARS IP and data rights clauses, technical data and software rights, federal procurement processes, and interpreting IP/data rights assertions.
- Familiarity with contract modifications and change conditions.
- Strong communication, analysis, and documentation abilities.
- DAWIA or DAWIA-equivalent training/certification in Program Management or Contracting.
- Experience supporting Army or Joint Services programs.
