Howmet Aerospace is a leading global provider of advanced engineered solutions for the aerospace and transportation industries.

Howmet Aerospace is currently looking for a Facilities Engineering & Maintenance Manager to join our Dover Casting Operations in Dover, New Jersey.

Anticipated Pay Range: $119k-$140k per year.

• Manage the maintenance department, approximately 40 employees.
• Interview and hire maintenance personnel to build a competitive team.
• Manage building maintenance and operational programs.
• Ensure preventive maintenance schedules, timely repairs of breakdowns, training and implementation of TPM, and a safe work environment.
• Inspect completed work for conformance to blueprints, specifications and both internal and external standards.
• Coordinate maintenance activities within individual departments to minimize interference with the production schedule.
• Manage the overall maintenance budget.
• Ensure the efficiency of all building systems.
• Manage facilities planning and space allocation.
• Maintain grounds and oversee grounds maintenance.
• Ensure safety for manufacturing and maintenance personnel.
• Provide training for all department employees.
• Evaluate employee and equipment performance.
• Coordinate maintenance and facilities projects.
• Develop and supervise team leaders.
• Ensure adherence to company policy.
• Coordinate and review external contract services for projects and repairs.
• Review and implement the purchase of materials, spare parts, etc.
• Summarize monthly maintenance activities.
• Assist in implementing Howmet’s EHS values and policies.
• Comply with all department, facility, corporate and regulatory EHS regulations.
• Wear all required personal protective equipment.
• Report all job‑related illnesses and injuries.
• Report all safety, health & environmental concerns to the supervisor.
• Attend all EHS training.

• Position is subject to ITAR and requires U.S. person status.
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 7 years related experience, including at least 3 years of management experience.
• Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.

• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Effective supervisory and managerial abilities.
• Hands‑on self‑starter, initiative, responsibility and flexibility.
• Proficient computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, CMMS systems, report writing).
• May need to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends with little advanced notice.

• Frequent sitting while viewing a monitor, alternating between sitting, standing and walking.
• Occasional exposure to high noise levels, temperature extremes, outdoor conditions and electrical sources.
• Occasional lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs.; occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.; climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling.
• Equipment used: telephone, computer, copier, fax machine, plotter, safety equipment, voltmeter and air measurement devices.

• Prior experience as a maintenance supervisor or manager in a manufacturing setting.
• At least 5 years of management experience.
