Responsibilities

Howmet Dover Casting is a world-class supplier of complex, investment-cast turbine airfoils and other components for the aircraft engine and industrial gas turbine industries.

Howmet Dover Alloy is a world-class supplier of vacuum and air-melted nickel- and cobalt-based superalloys to aerospace, gas turbine, medical and other high-technology industrial markets.

Howmet Aerospace is currently looking a Group Leader over Alloy to join our Dover Alloy group in Dover, New Jersey. The work hours for this Weekend Night position are Friday Night - Sunday Night (6:00p - 6:30a). Training is Monday - Friday 6:00a - 2:30p for several months.

Anticipated Pay Range: $26 - $30 per hour.
* Pay rates within this range are determined based on various factors including experience, education, certifications, etc.

This position will receive an hourly "shift premium" while assigned to an off-shift.

JOB SUMMARY

Supervise, troubleshoot and communicate issues to Operations Supervisor on the assigned shift. Train and assist colleagues as needed. Schedule department to meet daily requirements.

ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH & SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Expected to assist in the implementation of Howmet Aerospace’s EHS value and policy statement and its accompanying principles;
  • Comply with all department, facility, Corporate and Regulatory EH&S regulations.
  • Wear all required personal protective equipment;
  • Report all job-related illness and injuries. (Per employee handbook);
  • Report all Safety, Health & Environmental concerns to your supervisor in a timely manner;
  • Attend all EH&S training.

Production Skills

  • Coordinates workflow through department on a daily basis to meet production schedule.
  • Ensures daily production goals are met in both quantity and quality.
  • Utilizes production methods that reduce cost and increase productivity.
  • Observes and adheres to standards of performance, identifies and reports shortfalls to supervisor.
  • Ensures maintenance of equipment by application of TPM or other methods.

Leadership

  • Upholds and demonstrates Howmet’s values in approach to work, decision making and interpretations of ethical guidelines and polices for subordinates.
