Job Overview
Electrician A - 2nd Shift (Casting) at Howmet Aerospace in Dover, New Jersey. The position is a Afternoon shift Monday‑Friday from 2:30 pm to 11:00 am. Hourly rate starts at $36.75 and increases to $39.35 after 12 months. A $5,000 sign‑on bonus is payable after 90 days of employment.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain, install, and repair electrical systems and equipment, including motors, transformers, wiring, switches, heaters, and alarm systems.
- Inspect and troubleshoot circuits, grounding, and shielding, and rewire or replace components according to building codes and safety regulations.
- Assist in training of junior electricians and support the learning curve of new hires.
- Perform minor mechanical maintenance functions when necessary, such as tightening fasteners and replacing worn parts.
- Maintain plant power and light systems, locate and evaluate electrical malfunctions, and conduct repairs using tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Proficiency in plant power and light systems for locating and evaluating electrical malfunctions.
- Knowledge of programmable controllers and associated equipment.
- Familiarity with industrial manufacturing environment and high‑voltage troubleshooting (600 V).

- Use of face‑piece respirator; must be clean‑shaven where the face piece contacts the face.
- Operate tools such as Simpson VOM, ammeters, megger, conduit bender, and computer equipment.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment in an electrician role.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship not available.
- Ability to obtain access to export‑controlled items (required for this position).
- Residence within 50 miles of Dover, NJ.
- Experience with electrical code requirements.
- Ability to layout and wire new installations.
- Maintaining safe and organized work areas.
