Main Functions- Performs all the duties of a Repairman “B” and “C” with normal guidance and supervision
- Service all road calls
- Perform major and minor inspections with normal guidance and supervision including the recording of results and taking corrective action when appropriate to ensure a safe and mechanically sound bus
- Perform D.O.T. inspections and complete necessary forms
- Perform engine tune‑ups, repairs, and replace powertrain components as required
- Diagnose and repair heating or air conditioning units using EPA‑mandated equipment and procedures
- Remove, replace, and/or align all body parts and components fastened on the bus; perform all body alignment, repair, and component replacement as required
- Diagnose and repair wheelchair lifts
- Service, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair bus electrical systems normally performed by a repairman prior to this agreement
- Service, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair pneumatic (air) and hydraulic systems
- Perform all other duties as required by garage management
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must have a high school diploma or GED; ASE certification a plus
- Possess a CDL license with passenger endorsement OR a valid NY/PA CDL with passenger endorsement
- Be able to pass the pre‑employment physical and background checks
- Have a good driving record with less than five (5) points
- Working hours can vary; scheduling flexibility required as per the Collective Bargaining Agreement

- $6,000 signing bonus for CDL A or B license holders (must have air brake and passenger endorsement)
