The Corporation for Ohio Appalachian Development (COAD) is a 50-year-old nonprofit organization that provides direct services for Ohio’s Appalachian counties in Early Care and Education, Ameri Corps Seniors, Weatherization and Energy Efficiency, and serves the state of Ohio in its accredited Weatherization Training Center. The Opportunity:

We are currently seeking a part-time Administrative Specialist to join our COAD4kids team in Dover
. In this role, you will provide administrative and program support to our Early Care and Education Division and help ensure our programs and services run smoothly and effectively.

This position works closely with COAD4kids staff, families, childcare providers, and community partners and is a great opportunity for someone who is organized, dependable, comfortable working with technology and data, and enjoys helping others.

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Provides general office support, including answering phones, processing mail, maintaining files and resource inventories, and taking meeting minutes.
  • Provides welcoming and professional assistance to families, childcare providers, visitors, and community partners and provides virtual administrative coverage for other COAD4kids regional offices as needed.
  • Assists with incoming parent calls, provider updates, referrals, and follow-up.
  • Supports customized training, outreach activities, division communications, special projects, programs, and services.
  • Provides fiscal support for division activities, including consultant invoices, supply orders, vouchering, and maintaining supporting documentation.
  • Prepares and manages monthly reports and works with program staff to ensure reporting schedules and deadlines are met.
  • Supports the Division’s case management system through data entry, reporting, and administrative assistance and helps coordinate data collection and tracking for special projects.
  • Works collaboratively with COAD4kids leadership, staff, and community partners to support programs and services.
  • Represents COAD positively in interactions with families, providers, partners, and the community while maintaining appropriate confidentiality.
Key

Qualifications:
  • Associate degree in a related field preferred.
  • Experience in administrative support, communications, training coordination, customer service, or a related area preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with families, providers, community partners, and coworkers.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and the ability to learn databases and other division-specific technology.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
