Clinical Role / Focus

• Position:
  Interventional Radiologist with general diagnostic responsibilities
• Expected to read from the general worklist when not performing procedures
• Mix of IR procedures + diagnostic reads (approx. 50-70 reads/day)

Procedures / Case Mix Approx. 12 IR procedures & 10 fluoro cases per week

• CT/US-Guided Procedures:
  Abscess drainages, biopsies (lung, liver, kidney, bone), chest tubes, thyroid FNAs, lumbar punctures, myelograms
• Other Procedures:
  Paracentesis, thoracentesis, nephrostomy tube exchanges/placements, suprapubic catheter placements, PICC/port/dialysis catheter placements
• Fluoroscopy:
  All exams required
• Patient Population:
  Adults, geriatrics
• Case Mix:
  Inpatient, outpatient, and occasional STAT reads
• Volume: 50-70 studies/day (approx. 50% cross-sectional when not performing procedures)
