Cost Analyst

Job Title: Cost Analyst
Location: On-site in Dover, OH
Schedule: Full-Time
Salary: $80,000 to $87,000

• Serve as a key financial partner to plant leadership and directly influence operational decisions
• Gain exposure to manufacturing finance, cost accounting, forecasting, inventory management, and process improvement initiatives
• Opportunity to work cross-functionally with operations, production, and leadership teams

• Analyze manufacturing metrics including labor efficiency, material costs, scrap, inventory, overhead, throughput, freight, and cost per unit
• Perform standard costing, variance analysis, inventory valuation, product costing, and ROI/business case evaluations
• Investigate operational and financial trends to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and support month-end close activities
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, capital analysis, reporting, dashboards, and performance modeling
• Support cost reduction initiatives by quantifying savings opportunities and validating financial results

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
• Experience in manufacturing required
• Strong Excel and analytical skills with the ability to build financial models and performance analyses
• Experience working with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, JD Edwards, Microsoft Dynamics, Plex, or similar platforms
