• Supervises and performs direct patient care including taking and monitoring vital signs, initiation and termination of dialysis, documentation, physical assessment of patients and patient treatments, taking and transcription of physician’s orders, and drawing and documentation of ordered laboratory work (30%).
• Provides dialysis therapy, including formulating dialysis plan, managing ultrafiltration, administering medications, and documenting all activity (20%).
• Analyzes patient assessments and lab data, brings issues to physician’s attention, records observations, and communicates emergencies (20%).
• Assesses patient and family learning readiness, provides education on kidney disease and dialysis plan, participates in development of short‑ and long‑term care plans (15%).

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program;
  Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or three‑year diploma may be substituted.
• At least 1 year of experience working as a licensed RN.
• Experience in ICU, CCU, ER, or Med‑Surg is helpful but not required.
• Certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN) or Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN) is a plus.
• Must pass a drug screen and background check.
