Salesperson​/Store Driver Store

Overview

This entry‑level store and delivery role supports the DIY and commercial parts market at Advance Auto Parts. The salesperson and store driver positions can be part‑time or full‑time and require fleet safety certification.

• Deliver parts to commercial customers and pick and stage parts for orders.
• Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customers during visits and phone calls.
• Install batteries, test vehicles and install or replace wiper blades.
• Maintain store product and operational standards including part inventory processes.
• Assist with store cleanliness, dusting, parking lot and general stocking of truck and back stock.

• Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyer.
• Collect daily credit accounts.
• Pick up returns and cores.

• Basic driving and navigation ability.
• Proficiency with the delivery board system.
• Effective communication and customer relationship building.
• Knowledge of parts and automotive systems.
• Safety knowledge and operational skills.
• Operating POS and parts lookup systems.

• Speak and write English (Spanish a plus).
• Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs and procedure manuals.
• Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
• Work an assortment of shifts, evenings, and weekends as needed.

• 2‑3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment.
• Automotive parts experience preferred for the driver role.

The employee will predominantly be walking or standing, lift up to 50 or 100 pounds, reach with hands and arms, and often be inside or outside with exposure to weather, moving parts, and vibration.

11.80 USD PER HOUR – 12.54 USD PER HOUR
