Maintenance Technician – Meteor Sealing Systems LLC

Massillon, OH

Base Hourly: $21.00 – $27.00 per hour

3rd Shift (11 PM – 7 AM). Weekend availability as needed. Overtime may be required with limited notice.

• Perform basic and complex mechanical repairs to extrusion and molding equipment, including auxiliary equipment.
• Work from mechanical prints to install new equipment and diagnose and repair issues.
• Install and repair hydraulic systems using technical manuals and prints.
• Install and repair pneumatics on equipment and building systems.
• Perform basic and complex electrical and electronic repairs to equipment using schematics and technical manuals.
• Execute preventive maintenance on plant equipment—inspection, lubrication, and repair of identified problems.
• Install and repair automated machinery such as robots and programmable controllers.
• Complete daily work orders accurately and in a timely manner.
• Mentor subordinate technicians to help them achieve professional status.
• Handle hazardous waste and water sampling per company guidelines and OSHA regulations.
• Set up and operate machine tools: lathes, grinders, and milling machines.
• Participate in the Emergency Response Team, responding to emergencies per established procedures.

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Associate degree, trade school, or apprenticeship (preferred).
• Minimum age 18 years.
• Experience working in a fast‑paced environment.
• Solid mechanical background with at least 3 years working with electrical systems and programmable logic controls.
• Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs, VFDs, software; B&R PLC and interface is a plus.
• Knowledge of control, safety systems, and connectivity protocols.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work a varied schedule; operations run 24 hrs. 5 days/week.
• Critical thinking skills for troubleshooting systems.

• Stand, push, pull, and perform repetitive work.
• Frequently sit, stand, climb, or balance.
• Occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, taste, or smell.
• Lift or move up to 50 lbs. regularly.
