Accountant II / Senior Accountant – Pride Health
We are hiring an Accountant II / Senior Accountant to support our client’s medical facility based in Illinois
. This is a 3‑month contract with the possibility of an extension, competitive pay and benefits, and a great way to start working with a top‑tier healthcare organization.
Pay Range: $50/hr – $55/hr.
Work Location:
Downers Grove, IL 60515.
Schedule:
Monday–Friday 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
- Month‑End Close & Consolidation (40%):
Prepare journal entries, accruals, intercompany eliminations, and account reconciliations across multiple entities to ensure timely and accurate close. - Financial Reporting (25%):
Prepare financial statements, disclosures, footnotes, and supporting analysis for internal and external reporting. - Cross‑Functional Collaboration (10%):
Partner with FP&A, Legal, and Operations teams to support business initiatives and ensure accounting alignment. - Projects & Process Improvement (10%):
Support ERP upgrades, SOP creation, training initiatives, and continuous process improvements. - Audit & Internal Controls (10%):
Provide schedules, documentation, and support for interim and annual external audits; ensure SOX compliance. - Technical Accounting Research (5%):
Research and interpret complex accounting standards (ASC 842, 360, 810, 606, 470, etc.) and assess business impacts.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in healthcare or high‑growth organizations.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, nested formulas, Power Pivot).
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems (Net Suite, Oracle, SAP, Great Plains, or similar).
- Familiarity with tools such as Trintech, GTreasury, Workiva, BI360.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- CPA or CPA candidate is required.
