Responsibilities- Research availability of air at various destinations, conduct research, and negotiate with airlines to secure the lowest logical group rate.
- Complete airfare analysis and block zones.
- Review meeting profiles to ensure bookings align with meeting specifics.
- Follow CWT scripting and aqua rules as applicable.
- Manage daily queue operations.
- Ensure ticketing meets meeting requirements and tasks are completed.
- Monitor and alert the meetings and events planner in charge.
- Monitor fares/availability and communicate key information/risks to the meeting planner in a timely manner.
- Keep the immediate supervisor and/or meeting planner informed of problems or unusual matters of significance and take prompt corrective action where necessary; suggest alternative actions as appropriate.
- Stay abreast of airline fare rules and industry standards.
- Meet targeted productivity and accuracy expectations.
- Perform other projects, duties, and responsibilities as required or requested.
- Proficiency with automated reservations
- Ability to learn matrix accounting systems
- Professional image and demeanor
- Diplomacy and tact in contact with vendors, co-workers, and clients
- Court(e) ous, professional phone manner
- Ability to work efficiently and minimize cost of arrangements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail in working with the group meeting process
- Ability to multi-task across multiple programs, clients, and GDS
- Intermediate with MS Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel
- Daily activities in handling travel/meeting arrangements require judgment and multi-tasking
