Academic Assistant II - Math Assistance - Math/Physics
The College of DuPage is a comprehensive community college located 27 miles west of downtown Chicago, vitally connected to our local area for over 50 years. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
To provide instructional assistance to students in STEM courses in the Math Assistance Area of the College of DuPage.
Qualifications:
Education
- Bachelor's degree in mathematics or another STEM field with a minimum of 12 semester hours in subject area of support required.
- Master'sdegree in mathematics or another STEM field preferred.
Experience
- Experience teaching or providing academic assistance in mathematics or STEM-related fields at the high school or college level is required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Good interpersonal skills and excellent proficiency in spoken English required.
Working Conditions:
Up to 24 hours per week during academic terms only (approximately 40 weeks per year). Some evening or weekend hours may be required.
Pay Grade:
$26.52 hourly
