RWE Design Build is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support our growing portfolio of projects in the veterinary, dental, and medical sectors. This role focuses primarily on HVAC system design within an integrated design-build environment.
What You’ll Do:
Design and engineer full HVAC systems for healthcare facilities
Perform site visits to assess existing MEP/HVAC systems
Develop HVAC layouts, zoning diagrams, and system plans
Conduct mechanical code research and ensure compliance
Produce 3D HVAC and piping models in Revit
Requirements7+ years of mechanical engineering experience (HVAC-focused)
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering
Experience with
commercial buildings (healthcare preferred)
Plumbing experience a plus, but not required
PE license is required
Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.
Basic knowledge of the following areas:
NFPA standards
Computer generated HVAC Heatloads, energy modeling and HVAC equipment sizing
Technical Submittal reviewing process Bid reviewing process
Microsoft Office Suite
LEED AP certified professional experienced in obtaining LEED’s certification for industrial buildings.
Extensive experience with large-scale water-cooled chillers is preferred.
