ABOUT YOU

Do you have an entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for alternative power solutions? Do you love solving for the complex power needs of large-scale construction projects? Are you looking for a company that is constantly trying to push the boundaries of what it means to offer a better construction solution by using design/build? If the answer is "Yes!" then we have an opportunity that will excite you.

Who are we? We are ARCO, a Family of Construction Companies.

POSITION SUMMARY

ARCO/Murray is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the design and delivery of
mission-critical facilities, including hyperscale data centers and other high-reliability
infrastructure. This role will include the development of practical electrical designs, the
coordination with internal and external project partners, and providing technical support
throughout procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning.

The ideal candidate is a technically strong, collaborative engineer who can translate
project requirements into coordinated, constructible electrical systems while maintaining
a high standard for safety, quality, schedule, and cost.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

  • Develop and review electrical designs for medium-voltage and low-voltage power
    distribution systems.
  • Prepare and review one-line diagrams, electrical schematics, equipment
schedules, load summaries, feeder schedules, and design narratives.
  • Support the design of utility services, substations, transformers, switch gear,
generators, UPS systems, automatic transfer equipment, distribution equipment,
    grounding, and emergency power systems.
  • Perform or coordinate load-flow, short-circuit, protective-device coordination, arcflash,
    voltage-drop, and equipment-sizing studies.
  • Coordinate electrical designs with architectural, structural, mechanical, controls,
fire protection, civil, and construction teams.
  • Participate in BIM coordination, design reviews, constructability reviews, and
    interdisciplinary page turns.
  • Review vendor submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, equipment data, and proposed
design changes for technical compliance and constructability.
  • Collaborate with procurement and project teams on long-lead electrical
equipment, technical evaluations, and supplier coordination.
Provide field engineering support during installation, startup, testing, and
    commissioning.
  • Assist with troubleshooting, punch-list resolution, functional performance testing,
    and turnover documentation.
  • Apply applicable requirements from the NEC, NFPA standards, IEEE standards,
    local codes, and project specifications.
  • Communicate technical decisions, risks, and action items clearly to project
    stakeholders.
  • Support continuous improvement of design standards, templates, checklists, and
    engineering workflows.

NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Approximately 3-8 years of electrical engineering experience; mission-critical, data
center, industrial, utility, or high-reliability facility experience is strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of medium-voltage and low-voltage electrical distribution
    systems and emergency power systems.
  • Experience interpreting electrical drawings, specifications, equipment data, and
    technical studies.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Revit; experience with ETAP, SKM, Easy Power, or
    similar analysis software is preferred.
  • Understanding of electrical construction methods, equipment procurement,
    commissioning, and field coordination.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, schedule-driven environment.
  • Ability to travel to project sites as needed.
