ARCO/Murray is currently seeking a highly motivated new grad Civil Engineer to join our team in the Chicago, IL market. In this role, you will play a key part in our design/build process by performing site due diligence, designing & drafting land development concept plans, and guiding clients through the first steps toward bringing their building to life. You get the opportunity to solve the big picture and leave the details and minutiae to someone else.

• Research and collect site-specific information to initiate the land development process and perform site investigative due diligence
• Design and draft multi-building land development concept plans in AutoCAD Civil 3D for commercial and industrial uses
• Prepare schematic site plan, grading, and utility plans to illustrate site develop ability based on learned constraints
• Perform stormwater detention analysis, site utility design, and earthwork analysis to best inform site planning effort for cost and constructability
• Meet with internal and external customers to review concept plans, discuss advantages to multiple approaches, and work to define direction of project with Design/Build contracting team

• Minimum GPA of 3.2 out of 4.0
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s of Civil Engineering program or related field of study
• Prior industry internship experience is a plus
• Extracurricular involvement is a plus
