Full-time, 40 hours per week; experienced laboratory manager responsible for maintaining equipment performance, quality standards, operational efficiency, and staff development in a CLIA-certified environment.

- Maintain quality results through participation in the laboratory quality assurance program; consult with pathologists; perform proficiency surveys; review quality control and assurance programs; generate reports; maintain records.
- Maintain pre-analytical variation, including accessioning, specimen processing, policies and procedures.
- Ensure accreditation with CAP, CMS, and CLIA; maintain compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Monitor turnaround times, critical results, testing volumes, and intra-site volume.
- Implement new programs, tests, methods, instrumentation, and procedures: investigate alternatives; prepare proposals; perform parallel testing; conduct calibration verification and method review.
- Write CLSI procedures / SOP.
- Train, evaluate, and discipline technical staff; conduct annual reviews and competency evaluations.
- Monitor workload to identify peak and slack periods; adjust operations or staffing accordingly.
- Manage daily staff schedule; approve vacation and time-off requests to ensure coverage across all locations.
- Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS/MT) or equivalent certification (AMT, ASCP).
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, allied health technologies or science; or degree in Chemical, Physical, or Biological Science.
- Minimum two years of supervisory experience overseeing at least 10 employees.
- Minimum five years of laboratory experience in a CLIA-certified setting.
- Experience in chemical, physical, or biological sciences within a laboratory environment.
- Certification from IERF for foreign-educated candidates; transcript for U.S. educated candidates.
- CPR certification preferred.
Base pay range $85,615–$128,425. Additional compensation may include shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives.
