Under the supervision of the Medical Director, the Float Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner provides treatment for patients with psychiatric illnesses along the lifespan in an outpatient setting. Treatment includes assessing, planning, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating the patient care among a multi-disciplinary team. The ideal candidate will be able to provide supplemental coverage of staffing at both Skokie and Downers Grove clinic locations to ensure exemplary treatment is delivered to our clients at all times.

The Float Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner is responsible for providing treatment for patients at Skyway Behavioral Health in the partial hospitalization program and intensive outpatient program. Treatment includes assessing, planning, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating the patient care among a multi-disciplinary team. This person is responsible for ensuring the quality, safety, and efficacy of the SBH treatment model, fully participate in admission and clinical meetings including DBT team meetings and team rounds and clinical staffing.

The Float Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will carry a clinical caseload and participate in all aspects of clinical care for their patients including initial psychiatric evaluations, psychiatric follow up appointments, team rounds, and some peer-to-peer insurance reviews when needed.

Skyway aims to offer an individualized, multidisciplinary treatment team approach wherein the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will work with providers within many disciplines including but not limited to therapy, nursing, dietary, utilization review, and other administrative professionals.
