Job DescriptionWhen you join CNA as an Underwriting Specialist you will be responsible for underwriting US risks produced from CNA Canada, CNA UK and CNA Europe for the underwriting lifecycle from submission through policy issuance, for both new business and renewal. Recognized as the technical expert in the international underwriting specialty, you will work within the broadest limits of authority requiring the highest degree of technical complexity and coordination.
This hybrid position, three days per week in office, may be in any of the following metropolitan cities:
Chicago, Downers Grove, Radnor, PA or Lake Mary, FL.

As determined by CNA and depending on the applicant’s experience and/or qualifications, candidates may be hired into one of three Underwriter positions:
Underwriter, Underwriting Specialist, or Underwriting Consultant. Typically, 3+ years of related experience.
In certain jurisdictions, CNA is legally required to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role. In District of Columbia, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York and Washington, the national base pay range for this job level is $54,000 to $103,000 annually. Salary determinations are based on various factors, including but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location.
