We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join our team and help us maintain our advanced machinery and production systems.

Position Overview: As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment within our aerospace machine shop. Your expertise will ensure our operations continue running smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the production of high-quality aerospace components. Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform regular preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on a variety of machinery and equipment in the shop, including CNC machines, lathes, mills, and other specialized equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to resolve equipment issues and minimize downtime.
  • Perform emergency repairs on machines and equipment to ensure production schedules are met.
  • Work on a variety of tasks such as equipment installations, system overhauls, and upgrades.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance team members and departments to coordinate and prioritize work assignments.
  • Assist in the setup and calibration of machines and ensure proper operation.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and logs for repairs, maintenance tasks, and parts usage.
  • Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety standards, OSHA regulations, and company policies.
  • Work closely with supervisors and engineers to address any performance-related issues and implement improvements to optimize production efficiency.
  • Be available for overtime work as needed to support production requirements and equipment breakdowns.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in industrial maintenance, mechanics, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in a manufacturing or aerospace environment.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  • Experience with CNC machines, lathes, mills, and other industrial equipment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair complex machinery and systems.
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools, diagnostic tools, and welding equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and in a team setting.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Must be able to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required.
  • Union membership or willingness to join the union is required.
