Compensation for roles at Glanbia varies depending on a wide range of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. Glanbia provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Illinois. This range may not be applicable to other locations. The hourly rate for Illinois based employees for this role is $24.50/hour ( $21.50/hour + $3.00 shift differential).

Job Summary

Quality Technicians are responsible for managing and enforcing quality programs & procedures, and company established policies regarding the powder manufacturing process and storage. Quality control technicians review, verify and test products across the three stages of production (incoming, in-process, and final) to ensure quality and food safety levels are met.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Compliance and Regulatory:
  • Ensure compliance to federal and state laws, as well as GPN standards, and maintain documentation to support quality control activities.
  • Environmental Control Program ECA – perform swabbing for the environmental corrective actions as directed by the compliance team.
  • Process Improvement:
  • Collaborate with production teams to identify and implement process improvements to reduce defects, increase efficiency, and enhance overall product quality.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with production teams, quality assurance supervisor, managers, and other stakeholders to resolve quality issues, implement corrective actions, and provide quality feedback.
  • Calibration and Maintenance: Calibrate and maintain quality control equipment, instruments, and tools to ensure accuracy and precision.
  • Internal Auditing:
