Base pay range$37.50/hr – $56.25/hr
Major Responsibilities- Uses the nursing process to assess needs, plan and implement individualized interventions and evaluate effectiveness.
- Anticipates and recognizes significant changes in patient condition, provides ongoing assessment and acts appropriately.
- Implements strategies to reduce risk, increases safety, assesses readiness to learn.
- Coordinates discharge plan, applies evidence‑based practice, incorporates standards.
- Evaluates outcomes, supports shared governance, improves processes.
- Demonstrates communication, feedback, conflict resolution, promotes collaboration.
- Promotes safety culture, identifies threats, reports events, implements corrective actions.
- Applies ethical decision making, respects peers, collaborates on integrated care.
- Participates in quality/process improvement initiatives.
- Engages in professional development, attends required meetings, completes competencies.
- Demonstrates knowledge and skills for patient age‑specific care.
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the team member practices.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification from the AHA.
- Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
- Typically requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
- Demonstrates holistic patient care and patient/family focus.
- Responds to situational changes with confidence, timeliness, flexibility.
- Proficient computer skills; uses electronic medical records.
- Excellent communication, listening, interpersonal skills.
- Builds rapport; maintains positive professional relationships.
- Independent decision making.
- Excellent organization, prioritization, problem‑solving.
- Time management, multitasking in frequent interruptions.
- Coordination, collaboration, delegation, team building.
- Maintain annual education for hospital‑based certifications (e.g., DNV, CARF).
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach above shoulders, twist frequently.
- Lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to waist, 20 lbs. over the head, carry up to 40 lbs. a reasonable distance.
- Push/pull with 30 lbs. of force.
- Perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person.
- Use foot pedals on carts/machines.
- May be exposed to chemical and hazardous waste, blood, body fluids, communicable disease; protective clothing required.
- Functional speech, vision, hearing, touch; perform IV insertion and other procedures.
- Operate equipment necessary for the job.
