Caseworker, Access Services

Du Page Pads  is a non‑profit organization in DuPage County dedicated to ending homelessness through housing, supportive services, and employment. We are seeking a Caseworker, Access Services to manage our overnight warming site and work one full‑time shift per week.

$22.00/hr – $23.00/hr

• Operate within Du Page Pads  Core Values and apply Trauma‑Informed Policy and Practices.
• Manage the overnight warming site and ensure safety for all occupants.
• Provide feedback and direction to security and volunteers.
• Accept donations and screen walk‑in clients and calls to the Access line.
• Complete assessments and background checks.
• Coordinate care with external providers for crisis intervention, safety planning, and higher‑level client needs.
• Advocate for clients and facilitate access to resources and services.
• Maintain accurate, confidential case files and complete contractual paperwork.
• Adhere to client privacy laws.
• Collaborate with the Employment program to address clients’ employment needs.
• Regularly staff clients, assess and address individual needs.

• Experience working with the homeless or similar populations.
• Training, certification, or licensure in mental health, substance use, or evidence‑based practices is a plus.
• Ability to engage clients at all hours.
• Must provide own transportation.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.

Full time, non‑exempt, 40 hours per week. Starting pay range $22‑23.00/hr hiring 6 seasonal positions with potential for permanent.
