Level III Staff RN - Downey MOB - Pediatrics-Hematology​/Oncology - Per Diem

The Level III Staff RN in Pediatrics-Hematology/Oncology provides professional nursing care, leading the healthcare team and utilizing the nursing process in accordance with established standards. This role is ideal for experienced RNs who are flexible and committed to delivering quality patient care.

  Per Diem, Day shift (8:30 AM - 5:00 PM)

• Provide professional nursing care utilizing the nursing process.
• Uphold Kaiser Permanente's policies and procedures.
• Serve as a leader of the healthcare team and delegate tasks appropriately.
• Develop and contribute to individualized plans of care.
• Monitor patient progress and revise care plans as needed.
• Ensure patient safety and optimal pain control.
• Document accurately and legibly in patient charts.
• Discuss patient findings with physicians and healthcare team members.
• Practice customer service standards and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Act as a resource and mentor to new employees and team members.

• Education: N/A
• Experience: 1-year recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent experience in pediatric acute care or pediatric ambulatory care.

  • Pediatric Chemotherapy & Biotherapy Provider Certification OR Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Provider Certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required
