Senior Programmer

Overview

Senior Programmer is responsible for leading and/or working on the most complex IT applications design, documentation, development, modification, testing, installation, implementation and support of new or existing applications software. This classification may also plan, install, configure, test, implement and manage a systems environment in support of an organization’s IT architecture and business needs.

• Senior Programmer responsibilities include analyzing and refining systems requirements; translating requirements into applications prototypes; planning and designing systems architecture; writing, debugging and maintaining code; designing user interfaces; testing applications with customers; assuring software and systems quality and functionality; integrating hardware and software components; writing and maintaining program documentation; evaluating new software technologies; and ensuring information security/information assurance practices in the delivery of application software services.

This classification must have a minimum of seven (7) years of experience in electronic data processing systems study, design, and programming. At least four (4) years of that experience must have been in a lead capacity.

• 2+ years of experience in:
• Full life cycle of Mobile app development across iOS and Android platforms
• Designing, building, refactoring and releasing iOS/Android apps
• Cross-platform as well as native iOS/Android development frameworks
• Integrating Mobile apps with back end Web Services
• Apple’s design principles and application interface guidelines
• Android Material Design Interface Guidelines & Android app permissions
• Automated testing, both Code & UI testing
• .Net Blazor (Modern Web Development)
• .Net Maui (Modern Mobile App Development Built on Blazor)
• API knowledge with Application Authentication for backend code
• Automated Testing (UI & Integration)
• Azure App Hosting Knowledge
• Coding Knowledge
• Mediator and Services Design Pattern for Code Separation Knowledge
• Fluent Validation Knowledge
• Entity Framework
• Modern Application Standards and Practice Knowledge for the frontend (eg: optimized page loading in regards to CSS and JavaScript)
• Database Project/Code First Development and Deployment with Migrations, Including Integration with Dev Ops Deployments to Run Database Packages on Deployment
• Basic Azure Knowledge

This classification requires the possession of a bachelor’s degree in an IT-related or Engineering field. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
