* Job Purpose:

** Our Transportation Coordinator will be responsible for monitoring and coordinating the transportation and distribution of products necessary to meet business needs while maximizing efficiency and minimizing costs.

* Job Responsibilities:

*
* ● Prioritize “waves” of product to be picked to meet priorities of established shipping schedules and work with inventory control as needed to resolve inventory discrepancies.  
● Process rapid delivery, courier and will calls on an hourly or as needed basis.  
● Ensure orders are grouped and then released in the most efficient manner.  
● Responsible for adhering to the rules and guidelines by which product will be picked in the warehouse to fulfill customer orders.  
● Analyze the optimal number of trucks/containers needed to transport product shipments based on the required schedule. Re-assign carriers for customer orders as needed.  
● Close and dispatch all outbound trailers daily (nightly) prior to end of shift.  
● Generate orders and metric reports to warehouse workers; print and reprint labels, check inventory status, input data for shipping status, create shipping manifest, troubleshoot, and correct errors in wave batches.  
● Follow mandatory procedures to ensure that work is carried out to the required quality standards and/or to ensure adherence to external regulatory codes and internal codes of conduct.  
● Adhere to the organization's Health, Safety and Environmental (HS&E) policies, procedures, and mandatory instructions to identify and mitigate environmental risks and risks to oneself and others in the workplace.

● Must meet ANSI Z75 standard.  
● Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

● Familiarity with a computerized warehouse system preferred.

Rate of Pay: $65,500 per year (salaried, non-exempt)

● Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and adapt to sudden changes in the work environment.### ###
● Excellent verbal, written, people, and diplomacy skills are required.### ###
● Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.### ###
● Strong planning and organization skills are required.### ###

** The work environment for this position requires:  
● Regularly working in a non-climate-controlled warehouse where exposure to cold, heat, damp or humid conditions may occur.  
● Exposure to loud noise.  
● Exposure to dust, mechanical hazards, moving objects, and moving vehicles.

* Physical Requirements:

** The physical requirements listed below are representative of those needed to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

● Ability to lift, twist and carry up 50 - 75 pounds, manipulate (push and pull) up to 160 pounds of product with material handling equipment and skids weighing up to 2,000 pounds utilizing pallet jack.  
● Walking/Standing - walk throughout the warehouse to complete customer orders. Stand when operating order picker or reach truck equipment and when operating cutter.  
● Sitting - sit only when driving sit-down material handling equipment.
