Finance Officer – Exclusive Opportunity
Location: Downpatrick
Pay: £15.25 per hour
Hours: Up to 33 hours per week – Temporary Maternity Cover
Workplace: Office Based

The RoleAs Finance Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the organisation's financial administration and ensuring accurate financial records are maintained.
Responsibilities- Maintaining accurate financial records to support invoicing for service user transport, maintenance and utility costs.
- Maintaining and updating the client financial database.
- Liaising with Service Managers to ensure Service User Financial Agreements are accurate and up to date.
- Working with the Department for Communities regarding service user benefits and savings thresholds.
- Supporting the organisation in its role as Corporate Appointee by assisting with applications for social security, pension and housing benefits.
- Assisting with general finance administration, filing, invoice processing and document archiving.
- Completing regular banking duties, including lodgements and withdrawals on behalf of the organisation and service users.
- Supporting day‑to‑day finance operations and maintaining accurate financial records.
- A Level 3 qualification (A Level, NVQ, BTEC or equivalent) in Finance, Accounting or a Business‑related discipline.
- At least 1 year's experience in a finance or accounts role involving financial record keeping and computerised finance systems.
- Experience using SAGE 50 Accounts, including invoice processing, journal entries and bank reconciliations.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- A compassionate, professional approach and a desire to work within the charity sector.
This role would also suit a recent Finance, Accounting or Business graduate who has completed a relevant placement year and is looking to begin their career within a rewarding organisation.
