As a Field Merchandiser, you'll work independently to showcase your organizational and time‑management skills, build retailer relationships, and represent Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, support seasonal resets and installations, and occasionally work with other companies’ products in the stores you service.
Salary and Schedule Details
- Starting pay: $16.00 - $16.50 per hour, depending on experience.
- Part‑time position with a variable schedule.
- Average weekly hours: 8 - 10.
- Availability during major holidays and weekends is required.
Your Role and Responsibilities will include
- Day‑to‑day engagement: Using a mobile device, restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark products within and outside the Hallmark department. Technology is critical for day‑to‑day work and communication with your supervisor. Professional, courteous interaction with store employees, management, and customers is essential.
- Holiday support: Additional days and extended hours during high‑demand holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. On certain holidays, you may work on the holiday itself, including weekends.
- Department resets: Team responsibilities for installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments, and resetting card sections. Assignments are notified at least two weeks in advance; may include evenings or weekends.
- One Team Vision: Part of Hallmark’s field organization, you support other team members as needed in their territories.
Physical Requirements
This physically demanding job requires a high level of energy and urgency. You will work on the selling floor and in back stockrooms. You must consistently push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds throughout the workday and up to 50 pounds on occasion. You will kneel, squat, walk, and stand throughout your day and may climb stairs and step ladders.
Basic Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age.
- Read, write, and understand English.
- Pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
- Operate a digital hand‑held device to open, read documents, and interpret information.
- Access to Wi‑Fi and the internet.
- Consistent transportation to travel between assigned stores as scheduled.
