Job Duties

As a Senior Revenue Accountant at Bamboo

HR, you’ll help create a revenue accounting environment that scales with our fast-growing SaaS business.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Own key parts of the monthly revenue close, including revenue schedules, journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Review contracts, order forms, and renewals to determine ASC 606 treatment and ensure timely, accurate revenue recognition.
  • Maintain and update SSP studies and support the allocation of transaction price across performance obligations.
  • Draft clear, well-supported technical memos and help maintain revenue accounting policies.
  • Support internal controls and external audit requests related to revenue, deferred revenue, and contract assets.
  • Partner with Accounting Systems, IT, and Operations teams to strengthen automation and data accuracy within Net Suite, Zuora, Salesforce, and related tools.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, reduce manual adjustments, and improve the quote-to-revenue process.
  • Prepare and maintain revenue waterfalls, roll-forwards, and management reports.
  • Partner with FP&A to understand trends and support revenue forecasting.
What You Need to Get the Job Done
  • 3–5+ years of experience in revenue accounting or public accounting supporting SaaS clients.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP, especially ASC 606.
  • Excellent Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas, etc.).
  • Experience working with ERP or revenue recognition tools (e.g., Net Suite, Zuora).
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and comfort working in a fast‑paced environment.
