Altabank, Division of Glacier Bank, is looking for a Part‑time Teller/New Accounts Representative for our Draper branch.
About the RoleAssist customers and potential customers providing friendly, accurate and timely assistance. Recommend and explain banking services and products to clients based on their needs, presenting solution‑based banking services and products, and assist with client inquiries and complaint resolution. Assist customers with their financial transactions, including paying and receiving cash and other negotiable instruments.
Responsibilities- Receive and process customer financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, credit card payments, cashier's checks, fund transfers and sell gift cards; maintain and balance cash or teller drawer daily while adhering to assigned transaction limits.
- Become proficient in the bank’s products and services enabling solution‑based banking services and products for customer needs.
- Resolve customer concerns within authority and elevate to appropriate manager when needed. Answer phones, process wire transfers, stop payments, check orders, and create debit cards.
- Provide excellent customer service and deepen relationships by following established customer service standards.
- Open and close branch as schedule deems necessary.
- Comply with applicable laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
- Complete required bank training courses within assigned time frame(s). Learner responsible to ensure understanding and seek clarification if needed.
- Actively work on the Summit Progression Program to learn and develop assigned skills and increase proficiency.

- Inform management appropriately of area activities and any significant problems.
- Participate in community service and bank sponsored activities that serve and support the mission and values of Altabank.
- Provide superior internal and external customer service: demonstrate self‑governance, courtesy and respect toward external customers as well as internal customers.
- Represent Altabank professionally: maintain professional image, confidentiality, positive “happy to help” attitude, good attendance, punctuality, flexibility, adaptability; keep work area tidy and maintain customer privacy; attend and participate in meetings as required.
- Maintain regular, predictable, timely attendance to accomplish in‑person contact with customers.

Qualifications- High School Diploma.
- Six months of similar or related experience.
- Good with detail to work with numbers and names.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Calm and professional interaction with diverse backgrounds at various levels within and outside the organization.
- Regular, reliable, and timely attendance.
- Adaptation to change through time management, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
No hazardous or significantly unpleasant conditions.
Physical DemandsTypical routine: sit, use hands in repetitive motions, talk or hear; occasionally stand, walk, lift or reach with hands and arms. Must operate routine office equipment including computer terminals, keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must routinely perform work on computer for 6‑8 hours per day, work extended hours or travel off site when required. Must be capable of climbing/descending stairs in emergency.
Required visual acuity for detailed tasks and small part inspection.
Entry rate: $17.00+/hour. Start salary depends on experience and location. Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) plan and paid holidays. PTO accruals start at 0.0745 per hour worked for part‑time employees, capped for full‑time employees.
