JOB PURPOSE

Leads the overall journey portfolio of initiatives for strategic, business, and technology roadmaps for both Upbound and Acima. You will develop and execute program strategies, manage project plans, and ensure alignment with business objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Drives on time, on budget, quality delivery across all teams responsible for delivery of the approved strategic, business, and technology initiatives.
  • Drive the end‑to‑end agile program management framework using methodologies such as scrum, kanban and SAFe.
  • Drive agile adoption and maturity plans including but not limited to Scrum Adoption, Quarterly Planning, continuous planning.
  • Lead the end‑to‑end management of strategic, business, and technology initiatives.
  • Coordinate and drive the planning activities including milestone setting, budget forecasting, resource planning, and developing a coordinated program plan based off cross‑functional inputs and assumptions.
  • Respond to escalated project issues that may impede project delivery and coordinate solutions.
  • Monitor and analyze project metrics to identify weaknesses or problems and to propose operational improvements and cost savings for future projects.
  • Produce reports on key initiatives (Key Accomplishments, Next Steps, Key Issues and Risks, Team Measurement and other pertinent metrics as required). Keep project status updated so dashboards reflect current state.
  • Understand technology ecosystem to ensure end‑to‑end planning is sufficient. Align with all platform and value stream leaders to drive the deliverables required of their teams.
  • Lead across value streams and platforms to deliver on enterprise initiatives from a technology delivery perspective.
  • Provide overall strategic governance for projects by driving standards, processes and tools used for effective project delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, manage program budgets and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the technology organization.
  • Possess a strong executive presence and the ability to interface with executives at all levels.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to explain IT concepts and technologies to business leaders.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • 10+ years of overall experience in IT with 5 or more years of program leadership responsibilities.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field with 10+ years of experience in a variety of software development methodologies.
  • Project Management and Agile certifications a plus.
  • Exceptional leadership and decision‑making skills with the ability to develop and communicate strategic vision.
  • Keen ability to lead, inspire, motivate, and collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders.
