We aim to help our clients unlock the firm they’ve always wanted with our Practice Management Suite. We place a strong emphasis on delighting our customers, spotting and solving problems, and being good people along the way. And we just secured $70M in Series C funding to help us fulfill that mission.

The Opportunity

We are hiring Data Migration Specialists to help support our Customer Experience team during customer onboarding. These individuals will play a key role in ensuring successful and accurate data and file migrations as our customers transition to Canopy’s Practice Management Suite.

This is a hybrid position in Draper, Utah (M, W, F in-office).

What You’ll Do
  • Support the data migration team during customer implementations to ensure projects stay on schedule.
  • Assist with preparing, formatting, and validating customer data for migration using Excel, in house tools, and AI.
  • Collaborate with implementation, R&D, and other migration team members to resolve data-related blockers.
  • Provide hands‑on support during critical cutover and go‑live periods.
  • Create and maintain spreadsheets to track data, monitor progress, and document reconciliation results.
  • Run and document test migrations, verifying accuracy and completeness of migrated data.
  • Perform data checks, reconciliations, and quality assurance reviews to ensure data integrity.
  • Quickly and clearly escalate issues or discrepancies to the appropriate team members.
  • Document processes, data mappings, and lessons learned to support continuous improvement.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and integrity of client data.
  • Take initiative to identify potential issues early and proactively suggest or implement solutions.
What We’re Looking For
  • 1–3 years of experience in data or file migration, data analysis, or a similar technical role.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data validation.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy across large datasets.
  • Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
  • A strong sense of ownership, accountability, and follow‑through.
  • Ability to use AI to work more efficiently and collaboratively.
Bonus Points If You Have
  • Experience with SQL (writing or optimizing queries/scripts for data validation or troubleshooting).
  • Familiarity with SaaS environments or data migration tools.
  • Background working with accounting or financial data.
  • Prior experience supporting software implementations or client onboarding.
