We are seeking an organised and proactive individual to support the learning and academic progress of Sixth Form students. The role involves supervising the Sixth Form Study Centre, providing study support and guidance, developing learning resources, and working closely with staff across the school to promote effective independent learning. The successful candidate will also assist with mentoring initiatives, coordinate external enrichment opportunities, and administer the 16‑19 Bursary Scheme in liaison with the Central Finance Team.
Responsibilities- Supervise the Sixth Form Study Centre.
- Provide study support and guidance to Sixth Form students.
- Develop learning resources.
- Collaborate with staff to promote effective independent learning.
- Assist with mentoring initiatives.
- Coordinate external enrichment opportunities.
- Administer the 16‑19 Bursary Scheme in liaison with the Central Finance Team.
Strong communication, organisational skills, and a commitment to supporting young people are essential.
Commitment to safeguarding pupils against radicalisation and extremism and promotion of the welfare of children and young people. Eligibility requirements include not being barred from regulated activity and passing enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service checks.
Working Hours and Salary30 hours per week – 38 weeks (plus two days in August). Monday to Friday 09.00–15.00. Flexibility for the right candidate.
Scale 4 (Point 8‑9). Actual salary £18,852‑£19,146 per annum (including fringe allowance).
