What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking for an individuals who are great communicators and able to quickly build rapport with young people. You will be committed to ensuring every individual child receives the care, support and guidance they need to thrive and be the best they can be. We're also looking for the following:
- Proactive in resolving any concerns with young people and their families, in line with school procedures
- Excellent listening skills, tact and diplomacy
- Great team player
- Able to motivate and inspire students to achieve their full potential.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join the Pastoral team as a Head of Year. Each day you will provide support and intervention strategies to meet the pastoral needs of our students. You will act as the 'front line' pastoral support for a specific year group, co-operating and consulting with all sections of the school.
The actual salary is £26,766 per annum based on working 37 hours over 5 days a week term time, with 5 additional days to work on school training days and to attend any meetings and training events that sit outside your normal working hours. The salary is paid in 12 equal instalments over the year so even when it is the summer holidays, you continue to receive the same payment that month.
