Working Pattern
Monday to Friday, with flexibility required for travel

Are you passionate about ensuring a safe and secure workplace environment for all? Are you looking for a varied, hands on role with travel between sites? Due to recent expansion, we are looking for a health and safety coordinator to join a small team whilst being part of a larger, fast paced business. You will play a crucial role in maintaining compliance with health, safety, security and fire legislation.
Responsibilities- Assist the Health and Safety Advisor in developing, implementing, and maintaining health and safety procedures, to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and guidance.
- Provide advice and support on all aspects of health and safety.
- Work with farm managers to help develop their skills in undertaking risk assessments, accident investigations and inspections to enable a proactive approach to health and safety risks.
- Engage with farm teams and senior management to promote a positive health and safety culture across the business.
- Drive implementation of corrective and preventative actions arising from health and safety activities including accident investigations, risk assessments and audits to ensure the recommended control measures are in place.
- Assist in monitoring health and safety performance across the organisation to support continuous improvement.
- Deliver on site inductions for new starters and additional health and safety training where required to existing employees.
- Develop and review risk assessments, safe system of work and standard operating procedures (SOP).
- Previous experience working in the agriculture sector (desirable but not essential).
- IOSH qualification working towards NEBOSH desirable, if not qualified exposure to a health and safety role for a minimum of 2 years essential.
- Willingness to work outside in all weather conditions as required.
- Excellent IT skills with experience using Microsoft packages.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
- Be able to work independently or as part of a small team.
- Flexibility with working hours required on occasions.
- Full driving licence with access to a vehicle.
