Clark Wood are currently recruiting for a Personal Tax Semi Senior / Personal Tax Senior to join a highly regarded independent firm of Chartered Accountants based in Droitwich, Worcestershire.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Personal Tax Assistant, Personal Tax Semi Senior or Personal Tax Senior who is ATT qualified, studying towards ATT/CTA, or qualified by experience and looking to develop their career within a growing Private Client Tax team.

Working closely with the Tax Partner and experienced tax professionals, you will manage a varied portfolio of personal tax clients, providing high-quality tax compliance services while developing your exposure to tax planning, advisory work and client management.

• Managing a portfolio of personal tax clients, including individuals, company directors, landlords and high-net-worth individuals.
• Preparing and reviewing Self Assessment tax returns.
• Dealing with a broad range of personal tax matters including employment income, self-employment, property income, investments, overseas income and Capital Gains Tax.
• Preparing tax computations and ensuring all client deadlines are met.
• Liaising directly with clients and dealing with day-to-day personal tax queries.
• Working closely with the Tax Partner to provide a high-quality, proactive service to clients.
• Assisting with personal tax planning and advisory work.
• Developing strong relationships with clients and becoming a trusted point of contact for their tax affairs.

• Previous experience within a Personal Tax department in a UK accountancy practice.
• Experience as a Personal Tax Assistant, Semi Senior or Senior.
• ATT qualified, studying towards ATT or CTA, or qualified by experience.
• Good technical knowledge of UK personal tax and Self Assessment.
• Experience managing or assisting with a portfolio of private clients.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• A proactive approach and genuine ambition to progress within a growing accountancy practice.
• The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider tax team.
