We are recruiting for an Early Years Assistant to work in a First School based in Wychbold. This Early Years Assistant role will involve working within the school's preschool room, providing general support to children and helping to create a safe, engaging, and positive learning environment.
The school is looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and experienced Early Years Assistant who can confidently support young children's learning and development. The successful candidate will work closely with the Early Years team to support play‑led learning, helping children to develop their confidence, independence, communication, and early learning skills. The role will also involve supporting outdoor play and learning activities.
This role is full‑time and will start as soon as possible on a long‑term basis until July 2027. The working hours are 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.
Required Skills and Experience for this Early Years Assistant Role:- Have experience working with children within an Early Years, nursery, preschool, or First School setting.
- Have a good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
- Be confident supporting play‑led learning and child‑initiated activities.
- Have experience supporting children's learning, development, and behaviour.
- Be confident supporting both indoor and outdoor learning and play.
- Be caring, patient, and enthusiastic about working with young children.
- Be able to work effectively as part of an Early Years team and follow the direction of the class teacher or room leader.
- Have a DBS registered on the Update Service or one that was issued within the last 12 months.
- Be able to provide a minimum of two excellent references.
- Have recent UK school or Early Years‑based experience.
- Competitive salary of up to £100 per day, depending on experience.

This school is based in Wychbold and is accessible by public transport from surrounding areas.
