Environmental Health Safety Coordinator
Monday to Thursday 8am to 4.30pm and 8am to 2pm Friday
Salary £33,000 - £35,000 per annum
Hampton Lovett Industrial Estate, Droitwich
You will be primary contact for employees and managers concerning safety related matters and is responsible for the application of EHS programs. Responsible for implementing and monitoring health, safety and environmental operations and tasks.
Experience needed to apply for EHS Coordinator:- NEBOSH General Certificate
- 3 years+ experience in similar role
- Knowledge of Risk Assessment practices, COSHH and the implementation of appropriate control processes
- Are able to interpret legislation wording and convert this to useful local procedures.
- Comprehensive understanding of UK EHS legislative requirements
- Auditor experience
- Have good IT skills, especially Microsoft Office, and the ability to quickly understand new systems.
- Conduct regular inspections, safety audits and hazards assessments
- Identify hazards and potential risks and assist with elimination or mitigation of those hazards
- Advise on EHS matters
- Conduct the investigations of worksite incident, accidents and injuries and prepare the appropriate reports
- Provide training and mentoring in EHS topics
- Develop and coordinate ergonomic projects that contribute to the equipment design changes, business systems modifications and revised employee work habits
- Develop action plans for safety improvements and injury reductions
- Develop and maintain strict PPE policies for employees
- Monitor safety training and health regulations to ensure the compliance with industry regulations and standards
- Organise and provide scheduled training for employees to meet industry standards, required licences, permits and certifications
- Plan and document emergency response drills
- Develop the environmental management strategies to manage the potential impact on the environment
- Develop, manage and coordinate HSE Policies and Procedures to reduce risk of injury, damage or loss to human and materials
- Put in place emission reduction mechanisms and impacts mitigation techniques
- Conduct EHS audits
