Pertemps Social Care is currently recruiting for an experienced SEND Case Officer to join a local authority team in Worcestershire.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a caseload of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), ensuring plans are produced, reviewed and amended within statutory deadlines and in accordance with local authority policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of EHCPs, overseeing case progression and ensuring plans are produced and amended within statutory timescales.
• Consult with professionals, educational settings and other relevant stakeholders to support the development and review of EHCPs.
• Act as a named point of contact for families, providing clear communication and support throughout the process.
• Approve funding up to the E1 level, in line with local authority procedures.
• Represent the SEND service and ensure EHCPs continue to meet the needs of children and young people.
• Consider transport applications and assess the implications for educational placements in line with Worcestershire County Council's transport policy.
