Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – Specialist Tools

Location:

Dronfield

Salary: £35,800 + Pension + Overtime + Bonus

Hours:

Monday to Thursday 6am‑4pm

Overview

My client is a leading manufacturer of specialist tooling-based products with a 100‑year history. Their Dronfield site is expanding and seeking a mechanical maintenance engineer to support medium‑to‑heavy machinery operations.

Key Skills

Apprentice trained engineer in mechanical engineering
Experience in a heavy/CNC environment
Understanding of PPM systems

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will handle day‑to‑day maintenance for a range of heavy equipment, including:

Servo motors, Fanuc spindle drives, hydraulic presses, furnaces, overhead cranes, and thermocouples
General mechanical work as required
Operating, maintaining, and servicing machinery to the highest standards
Participating in training to broaden skills and knowledge

Qualifications

Required:

Mechanical engineering background or apprenticeship
Time‑served engineer with a mechanical bias
Experience in CNC machinery environments
