South Yorkshireor Kent ,orpredominantlyremoteintheUK.ThisisanexcitingopportunitytojoinagrowingspecialistengineeringcontractordeliveringcomplexgeotechnicalandstructuralprojectsacrosstheUK.Thisroleisa6-monthinitialcontract(likelytobeextended) withahybrid,flexibleworkingmodelandrequiresveryminimaltravel. Areyouanexperienced Quantity Surveyorwithstrong NECcompetency,lookingtoworkonvariedprojects,frommajorrailschemestocomplexstructuralandgeotechnicalassets,whereyourconfidencetomanagevariations,pushbackonclients,andprotectcommercialpositionswillmakeadirectimpact? The Company WeareworkingwithaspecialistgeotechnicalandstructuralcontractoroperatingontechnicallycomplexandinterestingprojectsacrosstheUK.Formingpartofoneof Europesfastest-growingenvironmentalandengineeringconsultancies,thebusinessmanagesapipelineofhigh-profileschemesandisdeliveringkeysolutionsacrosstheconstruction,rail,andcivilengineeringsectors.
The Role Youwilltakecommercialownershipofkey,high-profileprojectsfromprocurementthroughtocompletion,workingcloselywithdeliveryteamsandclients.
Thisrolefeaturesheavyfocusondirectclientinteractionandcommercialnegotiation. Daytodayyouwill:
Manage contractual risks,variations,andchangemanagementprocessesacrossbothgeo(60%)and structures(40%)projects. Maximise monthlyvaluationsandensuretimelysubmission,assessment,andapprovalprocesses. Lead regularmeetingsandmaintainstrong,assertive,andconfidentrelationshipswithclientsanddeliveryteams. Review ,negotiate,andagreecontractualtermsforupcomingtendersandhigh-risk projects. Protect the company'scontractualpositionsandrobustlymanagevariationsandfinalaccounts. Handle asmallamountofsubcontractprocurementwithminimalreportingrequirements(CDRreports) compared to
Tier1contractors. The Individual Wearelookingforpeoplewhocanshow:
StrongNECcontractcompetency and experience,asNECcoversapproximately
75% oftheworkload. Ideally experience withinthecivilengineering,railorgeotechnical. Astrongbackground inmanagingvariations,applications,andprotectingcommercialpositions. Doesthissoundlikeyournextmove?
