$24.00/hr – $35.00/hr

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and dedicated Sterile Processing Technician to join our team. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for sterilizing, processing, and maintaining supplies, instruments, and equipment in a fast‑paced healthcare environment, ensuring the highest quality of care for our patients. This opportunity is for full‑time, 8‑hour shifts (5 shifts per week), and night shifts (11:00 pm start time).

In addition to the base pay, the position is eligible for shift differential, nights – up to an additional $3/hr.

• Perform the decontamination, cleaning, disinfection, assembly, and sterilization of medical instruments, supplies, and equipment using approved sterilization techniques and equipment.
• Replenish and maintain storage of supplies and case cart systems to ensure the availability of sterile equipment and instruments for surgical and medical procedures.
• Manage inventory control procedures, including labeling and proper documentation of sterilized packages, and monitor inventory levels to meet departmental needs.
• Process and maintain endoscopic instruments, including GI scopes, to the highest standards, ensuring patient safety and infection control.
• Report faulty equipment, deficiencies in procedures, and non‑compliance with sterilization standards, contributing to the safety and quality of patient care.
• Actively participate in educational programs and in‑service meetings to stay updated on best practices, new technologies, and changes in sterilization protocols.
• Perform all duties efficiently and under urgent timelines to support surgical schedules and patient care.

• Post‑High‑School Vocational/Specialized Training. Experience may substitute for minimum education requirements.
• Certified Registered Central Service Technician or 1 year of sterile processing experience in an acute‑care setting.
• Maintains knowledge in surgical and medical technology through in‑services/courses.
• BLS (through the American Heart Association) is required.
• CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) is preferred.
