We are seeking a detail‑oriented and dedicated Sterile Processing Technician to join our team. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for sterilizing, processing, and maintaining supplies, instruments, and equipment in a fast‑paced healthcare environment, ensuring the highest quality of care for our patients. This opportunity is for full‑time, 8‑hour shifts (5 shifts per week), and has a shift start time of 3:00 pm (orientation hours may vary).
Up to $5,000 Sign‑on Bonus Available!
As a successful candidate, you will:- Supply Sterilization: Perform the decontamination, cleaning, disinfection, assembly, and sterilization of medical instruments, supplies, and equipment using approved sterilization techniques and equipment.
- Supply Restocking: Replenish and maintain storage of supplies and case cart systems to ensure the availability of sterile equipment and instruments for surgical and medical procedures.
- Inventory Control: Manage inventory control procedures, including labeling and proper documentation of sterilized packages, and monitor inventory levels to meet departmental needs.
- GI Scope Processing: Process and maintain endoscopic instruments, including GI scopes, to the highest standards, ensuring patient safety and infection control.
- Quality Assurance: Report faulty equipment, deficiencies in procedures, and non‑compliance with sterilization standards, contributing to the safety and quality of patient care.
- Educational Participation: Actively participate in educational programs and in‑service meetings to stay updated on best practices, new technologies, and changes in sterilization protocols.
- Timeliness: Perform all duties efficiently and under urgent timelines to support surgical schedules and patient care.
- Post High School Vocational/Specialized Training.
- Experience may substitute for minimum education requirements.
- Certified Registered Central Service Technician or 1 year of sterile processing experience in an acute care setting.
- Maintains knowledge in surgical and medical technology through in‑services/courses.
- BLS (through the American Heart Association), is required.
- CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) is preferred.
